Aliyah Boston Named WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Boston Continues to Excel for Indiana Fever

Indianapolis, IN - South Carolina alum Aliyah Boston has been named the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week, the league announced today. Boston has led the Indiana Fever to an impressive 6-4 start, averaging 17.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game on the season.

In the past week, Boston has been a force on both ends of the court, averaging 22.3 points, 14.3 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks while shooting 64.7% from the field. She helped the Fever win three of their four games last week, including a key victory over the Las Vegas Aces.

Boston's performance has drawn praise from around the league, including from her Fever teammate Kelsey Mitchell. "Aliyah is a special player," Mitchell said. "She's so versatile and she can impact the game in so many ways."

The Fever are currently in third place in the Eastern Conference standings, and they will be looking to continue their momentum when they face the Atlanta Dream on Friday night.
